running down the memory lane with a steady flow of no doubt and britney spears. those days when the artises that appeared on mtv were the only ones i thought existed. i was also the kid who thought that the books in the only library i visited were the only ones available throughout the world. i also believed that one day i will eventually finish all the books in the library (the world).

kids.

the world had no limits because the world we knew was so tiny. and the more we know, the more we know there was much we did not know. the cliche sums it up as life is a learning journey. boy oh boy, you can never learn EVERYTHING the world has to offer; because as much as you can try - recite the britannica, memorise the dictionary, consume as much national geographic, practise as much geometry etc - you will never ever be able to know EVERYTHING.

i had to uppercase 'EVERYTHING' to emphasise that the sheer amount of knowledge available for learning is infinite. not sure where i am going with this post; it started with some eye-rolling at someone's humblebrag abt learning one single new word from someone this person considers to have 'badder' engrish than himself. i dont know EVERYTHING, but i sure as hell know how to spot a humblebraggart.

leaving you with the last song on the loop. it is also not until now that i realise the happy tune and lyrics belie a rather tragic story.
