i heeded my own advice and decided i had to own the book, the one everyone shld own one too. being someone who doesnt usually buy books, preferring to continue being fined by NLB, its something. although i have nt made any drastic changes to my life as of yet, it remains a reminder of my limited mortal life, and the one thing we are here for is to fufill our destiny. as cliche and awfully cheesy it sounds, a few pages into the book, i assure you find it instantly rewarding.
here is an excerpt from "the alchemist" by paulo coelho i want to share:
At that point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible. They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everything they would like to see happen to them in their lives. But, as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them that it will be impossible for them to realise their destiny.
familiar much?
comprehension in its entirety escapes me, but someday when i meander though life gathering more experiences, i may then reach a plateau of better understanding where i may then embark on the journey i wont regret.
back from my most anticipated movie of this year, sad to say, i left the theatre heavy hearted, with a few stray popcorns on my shorts and in my bag (which to my dismay, are clearly visible throughout my train ride home). i cant make a comparison between the movie and the book - credits go to my terrible memory. for im sure HP purists will condemn the movie into the death cradle of he-who-must-not-be-named. im not very pleased with the choice of potter's love interest, ginny, that and it being compounded by the choice of actress who in short is... "yawns". enough said.
meanwhile snape perpertually morose, displaying a brooding demeanor, stylish in his flowy black cloak and being the hero he really is, is... "hot".
so, it is over, henceforth, the anticipation for burton's alice in wonderland begins! a burton/depp combination never goes wrong. yay.
